Hi all,

I have a '85 Corolla GTS.

I was trying to remove my front seats when I ran into this bolt:

How in the hell do I remove this?! I checked under the car and I have the heatshield from the cat converter blocking the underside. Am I suppose to use some special tool or pry it off? Thanks!

PS: Ive removed front seats in GTSs before at junkyards, but this is the first time ive seen this before! And its in MY car :ffs:

a round bolt ?:D  drill it out !:thumbsup:make sure you know whats on other side tho.

Its not a "rounded" bolt, but a round bolt. I have no idea what to think of it. I am almost at that point of drilling it out and re tapping the hole.

I cant get anything to grip it because its round. Ive tried to cold chisel the edge to make it move a bit, and nothing budged. Has anyone see anything like this before?! This is really ****** me off! There is also a bolt like this on the passenger seat, left front corner bolt.

I'm sure someone will say I'm talking crap.

How about using a Bremmel to create a slot on the top of the bolt, then see if you can use a Large Flat head screwdriver to undo it
