I think you need to provide a bit more info mate... how much fuel? under what driving conditions? etc..

as a guide, i get 220miles on £37-40 driving to work in ridiculous traffic. When i drive like a loon i get 180 on the same money. But recently ive been using the motorway/quite A roads and driving like my nan, and im getting 290-300 miles on £37-40.

Might be worth getting a bottle of injector cleaner as this helped with most of my GPM (gallons per mile) worries.

well everytime its used it drinks quite a bit of it and only on little journeys and also you can smell petrol quite often to like really strong while inside the car.

maybe there is a leak

put 15 in the other day and after a few miles needed filling up again and it never used to do you think three maybe a leak or needs tuning because also the engine is missing.

To be honest that sounds about right, my 2 uses loads of petrol in heavy traffic. Triving to and from work in stupid traffic I can only get about 200 miles from a tank, on a clear run I can get up to 350 miles.

Its worth checking your tyres are at the right pressure, it makes quite a big difference. You could check for a binding brake caliper too.
