Key Help

Hi,

ive lost one of my keys for my corolla, i have been to a local scrappy and he has a key from a 2002 toyota avensis. The key is the same as the corolla's and has all the same numbers/text on the reverse of the key. What i want to know is, dose anyonw know if i can re-programme the key and make it work with my corolla?

the key is a current shape toyota key with the 2 buttons on it.

corolla is a 2002 e12 model.

Hi,

I think you might be able to do it, i think its a series of opening door, closing door, clicking seatbelt etc to re-code a key...

Dont know the sequence tho

yah but @ a cost, i can get the key on the avensis keyfob key cut(£5.50) and working with my corolla, all i need now if the instructions on how to program the remote bit.
