How Fast Are T Sports?

if you really want to have fun in the Yaris and to get the performance out of it...just don't have anything more than half a tank of juice in her!

She's not that powerfull really, and if you have a full tank of gas she's awfull. The only car i've owned whereby there's a big differential with performance/handling soley based on how much you put in the tank. Less than 1/4 tank of fuel..she really does perform well.. if that floats your boat.

For me... why do cars need to accelerate so fast? as with top speed harsh acceleration in the lower gears should be prevented..would solve alot of problems...there's no need for it, other than the track.

my friend has a farm and a concrete track, it's not massive but you get your usual technical sections and a longish straight. get up to 80 before you have to REALLY slam on.

Raced my friends EG6 vti and although he pulled on the straights he could never get away from me, most of the race was tail to nose racing.

My poor friend who lives on the farm cant drive yet as he hasnt got a car. (and hes not got license yet. None of us are willing enough to let him drive. Nice of him to let us use it

T - sport defo do any VTR. My friend has VTR phase 2. we werent racing at all but he attacked a roundabout at 30 and smacked the curb with his back wheel. watched him do it. bits of disc brake flew at me. thank god it didnt hit car. Paxo back ends go out far too early.

Paxo back ends go out far too early.

yep i know of a lad who did it in a vts and it was a mess, i think it may have something to do with the rigidity of the car as the saxos a known handeler and also now tih my strut barces mines more tail happy, also stiffer suspension makes it more tail happy,

Just to add my tupence, The yaris seems slower because the driving position is higher... Driving the works vauxhalls and mates corsa they seem to bomb along but looking at the speedo they are rubbish.
