Does anyone know why you can get a Blitz supercharger/compressor kit for the 189BHP VVTL-i Celica and not for the 189BHP VVTL-i Corolla T Sport? <_<

If fitment was an issue, would it be too hard to make it fit? What else would have to be modified? ie. pistons? thicker head gasket? high flow manifold? etc.

Would cost a few pennies seeing as the Celica kit is near enough £4.5k & VAT!!! Then if needed there's the high compression pistons at £895 & VAT and free flow exhaust manifold at £599 & VAT

Plus add to that suspension/brakes upgrade, maintenance, tyres..... Eeeek! I better stop dreaming now!

Don't know really but at a guess I would say they've either not had enought corolla owners asking for one or it a engine bay space issue.

Turbo techniques do a supercharger kit for the MGF 1.8 K series engine the same engine that's in the 25/200/ZR but they won't sell it for the 25/200/ZR as apparently it won't fit in the engine bay.

i.e. just coz it's the same engine doesn't mean it's got the same amount of space around it in different cars.

Doesn't the blitz kit come with all the piping? Which presumably wouldn't fit the corolla. There may be other space issues as well.

I wouldn't mind a nice bulge in the bonnet like my Glanza had! I'm sure the pipework wouldn't be the hardest to re-route... I suppose it'd be a case of having a Celica with a supercharger installed parked alongside so we could compare sizing/position etc...

Take a look at the Fensport website. Look at the Fensport cars and the sixth car down is a TRD Celica with Blitz supercharger. The car was owned by owned by Kevin Clarkson who fitted the kit and it was manic - when you lifted off the throttle it sounded just like a dog barking. The kit is available from Fensport "Uk Spec cars without ecu £4,478.00" and don't forget to add the VAT!!!!!!
