Satnav Speaker Conflict?

hi, i have just bought x reg avensis and i have had an auto electrician to look at the front passenger side Speakers as they arent working.he said that there was power leaving the the back of the stereo to all channels, yet when it reaches the door there is no power and wiring colour has changed,he looked for an amp under the dash and could not find anything,the car has wiring loom for turn by turn navigation system but no disc unit plugged in, as the navigation directions are given by computerized voice i was wondering if i bought a unit off eBay maybe this would solve the speaker problem? any suggestions please

I had the same problem with my Avensis which was solved when a TNS 200 sat nav box was connected. The voice guidance is through the front passenger side Speakers. Good luck with your eBay bidding!

I had the same problem with my Avensis which was solved when a TNS 200 sat nav box was connected. The voice guidance is through the front passenger side Speakers. Good luck with your eBay bidding!

I think you will find that the Sat Nav voice only comes out of the drivers side speaker. At least it does on the 3000 version.

My dads avensis has the tns 200 sat nav and that does come through the passenger speaker only.
