I would have thought that if you "interfere" with the existing underseal by adding your own on top, then you would invalidate the bodywork warranty... Don't know that for certain, but I'd be tempted to leave alone, especially with it being a new car.

My Rav4 is 15 months old,and i have gone over the missed underseal with a waxoil by Comma, i also done all the suspension parts (keeping it away from all brake parts  ).

As you can see ,i also painted the exhaust box, with heat proof paint :) .

Do these really suffer from rust?

I doubt it. Surface rust maybe.

You planning to keep it about 20 years or sommat?

Spend your time on sommat more worth while!! :D

Yes maybe i should just get out more :P , i've always been in and around the classic car show scene, and find it a hard to crack the car cleaning habit ... i think nothing of spraying suspension parts, painting callipers, polishing rockers covers.......Hmmm, that's funny, i've done that to the Rav4 already :D :D .

Well if you like your car to look nice then that's up to you, and good on ya! B)

I'd like mine to look smart all over to be honest, but I ain't got the time.

The main things I wanna tidy up are the visible things, like the bloomin exhaust back box. And the rear brake drums are bad on mine.
