So, I was going to test drive a Yaris T Sport today, which I have all the money inplace to buy, and was going to look to put the down payment on.

I phoned in advance, booked the test drive and everything.

So, just as I am about to leave the house, they phone and tell me they've sold it.

I'm beginning to think the big man upstairs is trying to tell me not to get one - second time I've been pipped now!

:crybaby:

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Sorry to hear that. I'd phone the dealer back, tell them you're really interested but need a test drive pronto and....

remind them there are other dealers.

ah sorry to hear this bud, dont let it put u off however! when i was going to buy my t sport i was called up and told there was a black one in stocks, so organised a test drive like you did and was then called back just before and told it had been sold, anyways be persistant, dont forget ur helping them out, and agreed, just put it across as if its too much tourble u can go else where, just remind them that u have the cash sitting waiting and u need a car NOW, u want a yaris and if they cant supply u with a test drive and one asap then u will take ur business elsewhere

We had the same thing happen - we saw a Corolla we loved, test drove it, it was beautiful and we were just about to put a deposit down and BANG "Sorry, I've just been told my colleague sold it earlier on today"

Gutted wasnt the word! In the end we went to another dealership and got a better model anyway!

I take my car 110 miles each way for servicing as I don't like my local Mr T...

You try buying some things in Inverness where the nearest points of "civilization" are at least 100 miles in any direction <_<

You've got it made, boyo!

I had a really horrible experience when buying my Yaris. Id given all my details to the dealer, everything I wanted on the car (five doors, 1.3 etc) and how much money I had to spend on it (ofcourse I told them less than what I actually had) about a month later i finally got a call saying that they had a Y reg T-sport coming in that i might be interested in looking at :D . Now you can imagine how excited I was so i put down a £100 viewing deposit on it (this just garanteed that I'd get to view it before anyone else got a look in) but about two days before I was due to go down to Mr Ts to take a looky my rep called me and said the girl had sold it privately :crybaby: :ffs: . I was GUTTED!! Even the viewing deposit isn't a gaurantee unless the car is on the forecourt I suppose. Luckily I ended up with a newer car, not a T-sport but she's a beauty! Plus they knocked £500 off the price because of what Id gone through.

Electrify_dizz I know exactly what you are going through but do not give up, your cars out there mate, trust me!!
