3s-ge Gearbox

Hello again!

I have noticed that the sincro's are feeling a bit iffy on my MR2 and wondered if anyone knew where I could get a recon gearbox for my car? I'm looking at this as an option from getting the sincro's replaced. Have to weigh up the costs and all that!

I live in Worcestershire, so not too far if poss!

I went for a 2nd hand unit .. a lot cheaper ..

I've also got a spart G'box if you want one cheap ..

Up to you fella, the actual owner of it is after about £150.

It's sat in my MR2 which is "Off Road" in Reading at the min.

Would need to arrange collection/delivery ..

Ok cool, so would I need to remove it from your car or...?

and is the box ok? how many miles has it done? More to the point...are the sincro's ok?!

The box is in the passengers foot well. So it's free to be moved.

And no idea about the 'box. It was taken of a donor block for a GT4 re-build.

The rest of the engine looks okay, seems to be fairly low miles ..

I had a new G'box a few months back, and got a replacement for the easter trip to the Nur. Then in the last few weeks a strange knocking sound was gomming from the new G'box, I thought the worst, theived the box off a mate who was re-building the block on a GT4 with an engine from an MR2.

He didn't need the 'box (as they are different I believe) and I stole it "just in case". Since then it was found it was a drive shaft making the noise, so have a g'box gooing spare.

Right, well, I'll get a quote on how much it will cost to get the sincro's done and I'll weigh up the cost of popping down to grab it and getting it fitted. I'll get back to you on that one, but I'm definately interested! Thanx ever so much for the offer! :D

No problem .. it's a big old beast .. I took the passenger seat out of the MR2 to fit it in. Could be better in a proper sized car.
