A Bulb In The Dash Has Gone...

The little icon which shows when the external lights are on is no longer working. I assume its a bulb that has gone? Any tips on how to get to it and the part number would be nice.

I know that earpl has mentioned talking the bulb out on the engine warning light so it can be done....

I've taken the front of the dash off before but never deep enough to reach the speedo.

Thanks

Er, no dipped. Maybe phase 1 doesn;t have it. My T sport has, that why i thought it had blown. I'll take a look in the manual

You mean the green one thats comes on when you have either dim dipped or main beam?

If so - its accessable from the central pod - it just pops out and then its a case of finding the right one ...

Make life easier on yourself - ask MrT which one it is when ur getting the bulb..

P2 has a green icon for either side or dipped lights and a blue one for main beam. Our T-Sport has a icon for lights on and it's a P1

We gotta get a grip on this, its confussing.

On my P2 T sport (analogue speedo) there is a green icon which comes on with side lights and dipped. Thats how i know about the icon

On the P1 GLS, with a digital speedo, i noticed the other day that there is no icon. I'm was thinking maybe the digital speedo's dont have one...... but the maual suggests otherwise.

Maybe I'll ask Mr T to be sure.

You've got a digital speedo right?

Yeah, thats what i was thinking but the manual suggests that they still have the icon. And you can still adjust the speedo to full brightness if need be so could forget about having the lights on... hence the icon.

But it looks like it has blown so i'd better go the Mr t. Joy.

You don't sound very thrilled at having to go to Mr T :P

Still hope your avoiding Romford, went there a few weeks back and it's a building site..they are re-doing the showroom and everything, when we went there it was more or less the frame of the showroom/service area and the workshop! The parts bit was in another building but the sales and things were in portacabins around the car-park!!!

They said all work was gonna be done by October so may be kinda back to normal by now..

Dont I? Cant think why! :P

My first yaris needs a service soon so it'll be going into romford T. Dont know if i'll have the privilage to take it in or my dad! Maybe both.

I went there the other day for an interior light. The bugger keeps blowing. The work was looking good. Nearly there i think. About time they followed in the footsteps of chelmsford and (i take it) rayleigh. It was so run down.

Remeber the business with the bodyshop? We were wondering where it was. I found out that its in basildon. And they drove my ts all the way from chelmsford and back (twice) after that tesco thing. And left me with hardly any petrol during the recent petrol crisis. I could just imagine queuing up for 30 mins and the engine cutting out... but luckily there were no queues.

Good, yeah it was a bit run down I agree...and it's next to a Renault dealer aswell!

Which bit of Basildon is it in? Is it near the Fortune of War Roundabout? So they didnt top up the petrol or anything..that's a fair mileage :ffs:

I dont know where abouts. All he said was basildon. Nope, no topping up with petrol. And the carpet had a dusty foot print on it, really dusty. And he gave it to me with a bonnet full of dead insects! He claimed that it was washed but then driven back from basildon, hence the insects. But i know it wasn't washed because it still had a spiders web along the side of the door.
