Get Rid Of Amber!

I'm planning on swapping my amber side indicators to clear ones, Which I'm happy about doing... :)

However I also want to swap the front indicator bulbs for chromed ones so no amber shows when they're not in use.

Has anyone done this?

It looks like the bulbs in use at present might be clear but have an amber plastic shroud?

Is this shroud removable? If so will this affect the bulbs in anyway, I've looked at the drivers manual and it shows how to remove the bulb from behind but looking at the lights the shroud seems to have screws at the front.
