Mirror Off

Hi All

My passenger side mirror has been knocked off. It has snapped off cleanly at the join where it folds in.

Does anyone know if this can be repaired or will I need a complete new mirror. If I need a new one does anyone know how much I'm looking at for the electric folding type, also do they come already sprayed or will that need doing.

Cheers

Jon

Will look Chavtastic on Toyota's 40k supercar !

:arrgg-matey:

A job is only as good as the time and patience you put into it ;) If you do a poor job of course it will look turd. But if i was doing such a job i'd take my time and i swear you wouldnt be able to tell where the repair had been ;)

The big problem here is that the rod that controls the electric folding action also appears to be the main thing that holds the mirror in place. This rod had snapped. I don't think there is an easy or reliable way to repair this especially as I'd quite like the folding action to continue working! :(

It's taped on at the moment and makes the car look like a dog with a bandaged ear!!!
