Popping Out Dashboard

Does anyone know how to fix the popping out dashboard (at the radio and heater vents)??

I hear its a common problem with new corollas and it has happened on mine!!

I bought the car secondhand, and it is out of warranty so I'll be fixing it myself. Is it possible to fix it or do I need a new part?

The good thing is that i'll be fitting a dashkit for a DIN radio in a couple of weeks, so I'll be taking it apart anyway.....

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Apprently it been a know fault on the older E12 model, but the newer version doesn't have this problem apprently.

All you can do is keep pushing the trim back into the dash :(

I think it's better to keep pushing the dealer instead... I have mentioned the problem to them in my first 600 miles service, i will see what they are doing about it

Slight problem there for me, i've changed my H/U so it's not the standard unit hence they won't do anything unless i replace it with the original unit :ffs: and that won't happen until i sell the car
