Passenger Seat Lost It's Memory!

Hi All,

What with my Dad's Van having a mini "fire" today it's been a bit of a nightmare day! (see post in general about Is This Fire Damage?) Also the Passenger seat in my Yaris Blue seems to have "lost it's memory". I don't move it forward much at all, but when me, Mum and her Best Friend go out like we did this afternoon it obviously has to be used. It moves with no problem but when you push it backwards it goes right the way to the end of the tracks that it's on and you have to use the bar underneath to pull it forward again.

Anyone else had a problem? It's no big problem but it does get a bit annoying and I'm sure it can be fixed under warranty?

Cheers

Blue

I had the same problem a while back when Chris sat on my passenger seat at JAE and messed it up!

It fixed itself eventually - cant remember how I did it though.... let me have a look back! :D

PMSL reading that thread ...... plus does it really matter if it does/doesn't remember the position? You just adjust it till you get it right for you :D :P  !

LOL yeah I remember that problem, it isnt the angle of the seat tho it's the fact that its usually around the middle position on the sliding track but whenever it's moved forward for someone to get in the back it doesnt go back to the middle position, it goes straight to the end.

why do I feel like everything I said in that reply could be classed as rude?

Seriously tho, it is a bit annoying as P2's are meant to have the memory in the passenger side arent they..

This is where having a 5-door comes in handy :P

Although, to be honest my front passenger seat does seem to have a mind of it's own - always have to fight with it, but that could just be my blondeness holding me back. (no offence to fellow blondes btw :D)

True - but I rarely carry passengers myself, but when you go to meets and guys sit on your chair and mess it up... well, what is a girl to do!:lol:

I'm brunettey-blonde and I fight with my chairs as well, so its not just a blonde thing!

I rarely carry them too, and me and Yves both have 3 door Yarii..they are a matching pair in that sense, even if they are different phases and different grades :P

So back to MrT I go then?

No, just have a fiddle - or get Yves to have a fiddle when you see him next!

Sit on the seat and play about a bit til it gets back into shape....

I can see the innuendo folks having a field day with this post!:lol:

Yeah its no big deal, just get the person sitting on the seat to adjust it to how they like it!

My brothers phase 2 doesn't seem to have seat memory at all but I'm hardly ever in it and its always all the way back on the runners!

Mine seems to swap from one position to another whenever someone has to get in the back of the car.

Just change it by using the slider bar under the front of the seat to move it backwards or forwards - and that's it! ;)

Ok I won't bother taking her back to MrT just for that then..

If there was another problem with her then I would, but yeah I'll just live with it.

Thanks guys

<cough>5 doors!<cough> :P

Hey Blue, if you aren't happy with it, you get it back to Mr T. It's money for old rope for them!

Or yes, get Yves to fiddle with it.
