now with all the speed cameras this is a problem lol can anyone at all let me know whats up with it because i know thrs definately something wrong n i just noticed today. :help::help::help:

You say you definitely werent doing the speeds you say the car was telling you.... but how can you be definitely sure?

Speed is a very hard thing for your brain to judge....

Edit: Sorry, I didnt read the end bit!

So it starts at 15mph before you even set off? I'd get it checked out then, as it defo shouldnt do that!!

thats what I was just going to post "check that you havn't switch to Kph"

I've done this before I was driving about 30Mph Down a street, The speedo thingy stated that I was doing 47-48 I slowed down to 30. I thought "hang about that's was to slow."

Thought about it a bit more, then realised that it must be in Kph, and guest what.......... It was.

Jesus H... does nobody read what their car says... Km/h is different to MPH or do i need to draw a picture. Sorry, but this is a pet peeve, but if people don't know how to oerate their cars basic functions then how are they ever likely to be a safe enough driver on the roads?? Surely they'll turn into the sort that dawdles, hestitates, drives at 40mph in a 60mph zone and drives in the middle lane of the motorway 'because it's safer'.

Learn your cars people, otherwise you won't be able to concentrate on the main focus of the road and reading it well so that you are driving safely and properly. This lack of concentration and poor driving standars will only result in upset and turmoil... especially if you hit me!! :boxing:

Blimey people make mistakes! give the poor lad a break!

We all do daft stuff - even when you know your car inside out!

I once drove all the way to the petrol station with the handbrake still on my fiesta -wondered why it wasnt moving very fast! and i know that car like the back of my hand! ;)

Yeah, as soon as I read the first post I'd sussed it out but only because I've done it myself.

Mind you, I was doing it on a country road and thought I was going a bit fast!

Glad it's sorted anyway.
