How Do You Find The Exact Manufacture Date

Hi All

I have recently moved out to Canada from the Uk and i'm looking to Buy a MR2 Turbo in the UK and Ship it out to me. Problem is they have to be 15 years or older to meet the ****y canadian import laws.

I have someone looking at 1990 cars for me but not sure when they were made in 1990. Is there any way you can tell by the chassis number? I know with Imports the vehicle registration usually states the year but not the month.

Check the sticky posts in the MR2 section for the Chassis Number table. It shows the month of manufacture of each range of numbers.

You just need to find the number of the first car made 15 years ago and you're away.

i went to toyota, gave them the chassis number and they told me when both mine were made
