Doe Not Fit

the megan manifold doe not fit the phase 2, am i right in saying that?

is it true the exhaust diameter of the phase 1 is smaller than the phase 2?

sport cats diameters are 2 1/4?

megan manifolds diameter is 1.9 inch? (where all 4 join.)

standard mid section diameter is 2 1/4? (phase 2)

standard mid section diameter is 1.9 inch on phase 1?

i already know the answers i just want everyone to agree or disagree. :group-cuddles:

to say you know the answers, they look like questions to me  im sorry but i cant seethe point of this thread how can people agree or disagree about the factual sizes of the pipe?

*edit*

well you can, cause the megan manifold isnt 1.9 inches. for 2 reasons

1. there isn't such measurement as 1.9 inches.

2. because its 2 inches the same as the down pipe on the P1 tsport.

oh plus the standard mid section diameter is 1 3/4 inch on phase 1 :)

I know the flange is different on the Phase 2 T sport hense why it won't mate up to the existing system. However If your getting a centre section made to the back box, this won't make any difference as you will use a flange that will mate up to the Megan manifold.

I would of thought the diameter of the pipe would be the same but as I have not measured a Phase 2's standard exhaust system I could'nt say for sure.

Thanks

Kevin

current manifold and mid pipe

original

manifold: midpipe:

-----------/---------- 2.25 into 2.25

-----------/----------

megan manifold: midpipe:

----------/--------------- 1.9 or whatever into 2.25

----------/___________

am i not being clear? its not just the flanges that dont fit, its the pipe diameter too. I dont want to reduce the diameter of the outlet than the original. what would the point in that be?

pipe diameter 1.9? 5zigen manifold for 1nz-fe is 58mm

right, for a start, please show me on the tape measure where the mark is for 1.9 inches??? you cant mix & match metric + imperial mesurements.

and the P1 TS down pipe is 2 inches.

TS down pipe isn't its 2 inches. as for the manifold, i'll let you work it out yourself

i think its that you are saying it needs to be a little bit smaller to go in but anyhow, theres no point me putting the megan one on the phase 2 to reduce the manifold diameter.

im just basically saying the megs manifold doesnt fit the phase 2

i wonder why they changed it.

i cant because i need a new down pipe to fit. i would like to just to see. but i cant possibly think of any benefit reducing the size of it would be.
