Crunchy Gearbox

I changed the transmission oil in my '94 Carina Gti box a while ago and it immediately started crunching going into third, wither changing up or down. I thought it'd settle down but it hasn't and I am now looking at having to strip the box and look at what has happened. Has anyone else had this happen? Did you have to strip the box or can I use some heavier oil to stop it? :help:

What type of oil have you used ?

I'm using RedLine MT90 + 100ml of ZX1 (bought in england by demon tweeks web site), with satisfaction on my corolla :) Give a try.
