Everytime I go from 5th back down to 4th gear, it gets stuck. I have to pump the clutch before it will drop down.

Local mechanic looked at it, but said it was common on Toyotas

..I've got that on nearly every gear...especially going up from 1st to second...but it does seem to be wearing in and becoming smoother...
