Mobile Phone Problems

Hoping someone here will know!

Basically, we have 10 company mobile phones, they were on Orange, until we changed to O2 recently so we ported all the Orange numbers to O2 and bought new mobiles, Motorola V620's for staff and Samsung D500's for the directors.

Ever since we got them, all of the phones suffer from very poor reception - we've contacted O2 who say its not their problem and reception in our area is fine.

I thought it may be just the Motorola phones, as I have a Samsung D500 and my reception on O2 is fine, but apparently the Director's D500's suffer the same. I've read a few things about problems with the Motorola V620, but none regarding reception.

Could it be anything to do with the fact they are ported numbers from Orange?

Would just really like to get to the bottom of it because the mobiles are important and they need to be 100% functional.

We share a small office block with about 5 other companies....

We had no problems whatsoever on Orange - O2 offered us cheaper bills, so we switched!

Maybe you're using all the free cells up?? O2 will only have x ammount of cells for that area, but then again you should get signal but it would refuse to make/receive calls

Just a thought?

Probably dosnt help you now but I have just changed from o2, one of the reasons I wanted rid of them was because there reception was rubbish in our house, I have had Vodafone and orange both have been good signals in the house but o2 was rubbish.

To receive or make calls in the house you had to stand at the front window to get a signal of any sort. With Vodafone and the Samsung D500 both me and her get no probs in the house with signals

I am in NE lincs by the way.

Thats the strange thing, I'm on O2 privately, as is my colleague and both our reception is great in the office! I've never had a problem with O2 reception at all - just seems strange we port all the Orange numbers over and they all have problems....

Yeah if yours and your colleagues phones work okay on o2 then that shows that the signal must be okay it's a bit odd. Sounds like it could well be something to do with the imported numbers
