:bookworm: hi everyone, anybody got any info into poor starting problems with rav4 Battery? was out most of yesterday had done about 50 miles went back out in evening stopped outside mates house for 10mins with sidelights and radio on,went to start rav and it was flat as a pancake!heard that they dont hold charge well, Battery has been checked at mr toyota today and it is 100% fine,

They can only check the charge of the Battery. It doesn't mean it can hold it for long.

If your alternator is shoving out over 13.5 volts with the engine revving slightly then you'll find it's your Battery. Mine did exactly the same recently. It tested out fine on the meter, but leave the radio on for 15 mins and it was dead.

A good sign is that they can't supply the same current, so the starter motor hasn't got as much of a kick as it would have done.

ahh gud question, where do i look for a k an an panel filter for the rav

I had the panel filter from YB filters, off eBay. Good fast service. Go on the K&N web site first to check which model you need, can't remember myself.

Actually the filter made quite a diffference to the engine, it feels less 'choked'. Still struggles with the 1700kilos or whatever it is though.

I just got my Battery from Halfords. If you've noticed they are a funny shape thing. My Battery was a rush thing though because it gave out on me whilst sitting in traffic with my engine off. All I was doing was allowing the car to roll down hill when a small move happened. Then when the traffic started to flow, my engine didn't wanna! :D
