That reminds me Rob.

Isn't it about time you let me have the leather trousers and scissors back.

After all you did promise you would have them taken in for me last week!!

Also can you make sure you wash all the brylcreem off them, you know I can't stand the stuff (that's off the scissors AND the trousers (at least I think it's brylcreem on the trousers)):P

Looks tidy, and welcome to the club... but you should have started a new thread introducing yourself and car... unless I missed it... You'd have got more responses.

Talking of headlights.. the headlights on the facelift Roadster, are they projection lights??

378-1.jpg

The large part of the light unit comes on when the sidelights are turned on, in the same way as many other cars.. turn on the dipped headlamps and its the little light to the top that comes on, this looks a bit like a magnifying glass.. turn on the full beam lights and the main headlamp unit goes on.

In the picture, its the dipped lights that are on.

no theyre normal reflector headlamps

full projection lamps will have two of the 'globes'

I dunno, those Mk3s just look... well... horrible :D maybe thats too strong but they never make me go oohhh like the Mk1 and 2s do

...deffo down to personal likes and dislikes...I kept an open mind with what sportscar i wanted looked at them all (well most ) mx5......BMW.......volvo........audi TT...... chrysler...brand new of course.... for me I liked the MR2 something very snazzy about it,,,,so for me MK1 and MK2 just dont do it for me ..no matter how well modified they are,,they look totally dated (and yes i did and do know the MK3 will also soon be a has been as well) ...so dudes mk 1 and mk 2 its a NO from Penelope.... and its a YES to the MK3......... I do have to say though i absolutley love driving this car and i get a lot of pleasure of owning this car as well,,,,and thats what its all about the feel good factor

Ahhh, but dated is good, otherwise we would all hate anyone who looked older than 3 or 4, 30 year old malt whiskey wouldnt exist, good music would have been lost forever, decent TV would never be repeated... its not about something being dated or not; its whether you actually like it or not so please dont say Mk1s and 2s are dated, they arent, its just that you prefer, like many people, ugly cars

TBH the Mk2 is very 90s in its appearance but the Mk1 is timeless. I think the Mk3 will go out of fashion quicker than its forebearers and wont achieve the same desirabilty in the future, just my 2 pennies worth and tongue in cheek!
