Toyota avensis 1.8 '99

Hi, i read a post on here suggesting the reason for a high bitting point is due to lowel fluid level or bleeeding required of the clutch header tank??

How do you bleed it to get any trapped air out guys??

plus the biting point on my avensis is high and judders??

A juddering clutch is a good sign of the clutch being on it's way out, also the high biting point may also point to this.

If you want to bleed the clutch then you need to find the clutch slave cylinder near the main clutch assembly. There will most likely be a bleed nipple somwhere on it, similar to one you would find on you brake cylinders.

It is advisable to use a brake bleeding kit with a non return valve in it, unless you have a second person. Either way, all you do is open the bleed nipple and press on the clutch pedal to expel the oil and any air in the system. Make sure the clutch header tank is kept above the minimum level to avoid any more air being sucked into the system. If you are getting someone else to push the pedal and aren't using a bleed kit you need to close the nipple each time before they release the clutch pedal, otherwise it could suck air back in.

I think you are most likely to find that your problems aren't air related though.
