Corolla 2006 Vs Civic 2006!

Hi all, Just been doing some research into the next gen models of the civic and corolla.

Official pictures of the next gen civic have been published, anyone seen them? There are mixed opinions about the car, but there is no doubt that the design of the new civic is very bold and daring! I like it, the design grows on you and i do believe it is a sign of things to come. Professional Visual experts predict that the new civic's residuals will hold it's value longer than a BMW 3-series!!

Apparently when the civic was unveiled at the Geneva & Frankfurt motorshows, All car makes praised the car as it packs alot of kit in a neat package! But toyota on the other hand received a big shock when they saw the new civic as they had already been testing the new corolla, but after they saw the new design of the civic, they prosponed the release of the corolla after ordering their designers to come up with a new design to compete with the new civic! The new corolla looks more like a bigger version of the new yaris.

The corolla compressor will be released as a special model to finalise the old corolla, kind of like when they released the corolla G6R! Only 250 of these compressors will be sold here i think costing between £20k - £30k!

I like that white car on the front cover of the mag showing the new Corolla!!! It looks like a Toyota of some sort with the "back-slash" rear window... very nice indeed...

I think the white car is a Nissan.

I prefer the Civic. As so far the only real pics I've seen of the next Corolla aren't really a big enough step from the current one (I dought it will come out like the black artist impression).

But if they all come out like the pics show by looks alone I'd prefer the Nissan :o .

Yea i like the white car aswel, apparently its going to be the next Almera. I wonder if Toyota are going to make a hybrid version of the corolla?
