If we use the "Make A Donation" link will Gift Aid be claimed?

no - Kim is not a registered charity

Fair point, I thought some1 may have set a charity up or something though

I know probably not the right place to post this but had to say something...

Kimi has been in the club Donkeys and always full of smiles, personally I am disgusted that people are looking for ways to get money back form making a donation to a vlued member of the club who has always had a smile on her face at every meet she has been at !!

All that has been asked is that if you would like to make a donation for a well-wishing gift from the club then please feel free NOT I'll donate if I can claim some back on my taxes....

If I've misunderstood the comment then I apologise but please come on....

Yeah, you have misunderstood, if you claim Gift Aid basically all that happens is an extra 20-odd p (think its 26 or 28) is added to the money by the government, so if TOC donated £100 for example, £120-odd would actually be received by the person getting the money (in this case Kimi).

Yeah Kevs right Ryan.... when I did my Race for Life I got x amount of donations and those who ticked to Gift Aid it, Cancer Research gets something like 27p extra per pound donated, so the charity gets extra money.

But as Kimi's not a registered charity then this douesn't apply - however, if we donated to Cancer Research UK on Kimi's behalf, then as long as you're a UK Tax Payer, you can choose to Gift Aid your donation, at no extra cost to you.
