I've just bought a set of LED undercar lights, but im worried about fitting the rear light, i've got a colour collection and the exhaust takes up most of the right hand side of the backend,

just wondering if any of u have fitted lights under the car, or if u know of a way to get around it,

heres a pic of the interior neons i've put in

http://photos.wanadoo.co.uk/album/album_fu..._photo=36778202

the photo quality isn't great, they look a lot better in person,

thanks,

There's a post about these here, I've never been a fan tbh but after hearing some suggestions I'm starting to come around to the idea.

Oh yeah, those pics dont work unless you sign up then log in which I wont be doing, might be worth looking at www.photobucket.com or something like that to show off pics.

Darren had them on the corsa and i wasnt a big fan of them! The little kisd loved them around our estate though but they look chavvy! imo

Can't see the pic either :( I'm sure that some of the guys on here have got them fitted tho...I quite like the look of the Blue coloured ones on other cars, but I wouldn't get them fitted myself.

As above - we can't see the pics, cause we're not logged in.

Personally, I detest neons, but hey, it's your car, not mine.

the answer to any question that starts "should I fit neons to..." is NO - unless the question ends in "my chip shop window to show its open"

Hi,

u wont get too much neons fans out there on the forum :)

Anyway, I have them fitted on the sides and the front. Have not been able to fix the rear one yet coz of my rear bodykit. No fixing ideas yet for the rear one.

What I can recommend you is to have a separate switch for your neons and not to light them up on headlight circuit. This way, u can turn them on when u want. Eg for the show etc !!

Here are some pics:

i say do it

it can look superb if you put some effort into mounting them

for the rear mount it inside the rear bumper lip, thats what i did, just enough room for a 40inch tube and doesnt hit the zorst

for the sides, mount them along the side of the chassis rails, gets them far enough under the car not to be seen but doesnt epxose them, also they arnt on the lowest point of the car so will never be damaged if you hit them with a road hump

YOU CAN DOO IT!

If you B&Q it!!

Sometimes I like the look of neons on a car and sometimes I don't........I guess it's what mood im in!

Get them fitted ....... it's your car at the end of the day and will make it that little bit more individual from other yaris's  !

Plus if you don't like them ........ just don't turn them on :P !

and also be careful of speed bumps, my road has speed bumps and there's always at least one set of smashed neon tubes and wiring lying in the road, where some chav forgot about having them on his car and took the speed bump at full speed!

Definately 'each to their own' .... I was always unsure about neons on the yaris... I quite like them on the sleeker more traditionally 'sports car' styled cars... and generally only at shows/meets/events.. I think when you see someone driving along with them on you ultimately think 'chav' before anything else.... even if it might not be the case..

I do however think Ismael's look pretty stunning.. and he has given good advice by not wiring them into the headlight circuit... deffo a good idea to be able to turn them off :)

Ultimately they wont be everyone's cup of tea.... but if done well and looked after (eg you dont just not bother fixing if one does break :P) they can be good...

I am still umming and arring over getting 'show neons' for mine... but it will probbaly be one of the last things I do.. if I ever do it at all... so much other stuff to get done first ;)

good luck  and post accessible piccies when ya sorted ;)

Thanks for all ur opinions, and i've fitted them discreetly inside the side skirts, and under the front and rear bumpers.

i personally think that they dont look chav, i think a battered xr2 with led washer jets an max power seat covers is a good example, i think if u spend a little extra an get the wide angled led tubes instead of actual neons, it looks fantastic, they're also on a sleak remote control key ring so i can switch them on an off as i please, definately a good investment, an i'll get some pics that actually work up when i get home later,

cheers guys an gals

To tell you the truth! Their great! cuz i had them fitted on by the Pro's but give it a Year or so with some heavy rain and you'll get a fault with the loader (the 12 volt black box in the bonnet) but these are with the normal acrylic neons!

I very much like the LED ones from PRISM! they are great because the 12 VOLT black box is connected to the cig lighter socket!

So I say buy the LED ones cuz their less hassle to fit unlike the old acrylic one!

Hop this helps you!
