I installed it today and damn - the change is significant and fun  . It makes you wonder why it wasn't there to begin with.

Thank you guys for the information and help. Pictures - hopefully tomorrow.

Looks nice man  . how much better does it do to ur handling cause i was thinkin of byin one on ebay!

I held my expectations low, but to my opinion it's great! You feel less distortion of the chassis in cornering and maneuvering, and steering becomes more sharp and precise.

looks good, I was thinking of getting one, but decided against the red and got a polished one.

if your getting the OMP one off eBay, go to their main website

http://www.strutbracer.co.uk/tables/toyota.htm

they are a few quid cheaper it's £56.58 inc p+p from their website and it's over £63 from eBay with the postage.

I see that most of you guys are TS owners

Is it worth getting one for a 1.3 .......... as can it go around corners quick enough?

There're quite a few guys and gals here who put strut braces on 1.3 and 1.0. No doubt you'd feel the difference in cornering. As for quick - you decide how quick you get into a corner, not your engine... ;)

I haven't tried others but I think the front upper one is the most beneficial. If I need to reduce the distortion of the chassis in corners, front is probably the first place to deal with.

I'll probably consider rear sometime. TRD has interesting rear suspension member brace.

I get told very often that I am a bit mad going around corners

but I want it more to make my engine bay look better rather than for stiffening the car up.

Do you also have your car lowered? £57 not a bad price so i think i def get one soon!

I did consider getting the Eibach springs. However, I fear that this would make the car inconvenient for everyday use. Therefore, I'm not taking this road for now - maybe in the future.

How did it affect your insurance, if any?

I didn't check that. I don't think they'll even know if and how to evaluate that. As far as I asked around, nobody knew if it should effect insurance.
