i think someone called yaris wrx or something like that was selling a hks turbo for a yaris ts what would be the complication to get i fitted surley a bolt on kit shouldnt cause that much problems , and also the hks turbo for the 1l yaris could you adapt that to fit on the ts

I'm not sure what you meant, but this spesific kit was sold.

The kit needs some adjustment to fit the TS.

I'm not sure we're talking about the same one. I was talkin about the particular turbo kit which was for sale (Yaris WRC).

It was HKS 1101-RT005. This model was designed for the 1nz-fe engine, for the Toyota bB (NCP31). I don't think it's sold in Europe. Here's the translated page from HKS in Japan:

there are 2 turbo's

ones a HKS for the 1ltr (may fit the 1.3 P2 with mod to manifold)

The other one I believe is a 1.5 turbo made by toyota and only available in Japan(doubt it's a HKS)

As for yaris wrc's turbo, he could have modified it, or fitted another HKS turbo kit.

You would have to ask him, as he didn't say if it was modified for the 1.5

fastgold if you have the money to get forced induction just look for a custom turbo place in the uk and go get one fitted from them and then spend loads of money getting it configured and on fueling and internals that will need uprating if you want to run a serious boost. If not buy the TTE supercharger as this has been tried and tested (and i believe some foreigners have fitted Blitz superchargers but you may have problems with the ECU). This is the only proven Forced induction that anyone on the forum owns (for tsport).

If not fit the basic mods such as exhausts and induction kits, clutch and then be happy. TBH if you want serious power buy a different car. If you want serious power from the yaris tsport, spend a lot of money! If you dont have the funding for either just be happy with the power you have as your only young atm and barely had the car long so you should just get used to the power has, learn about the car, and then decide to do any modifications when you have saved up enough.

You gotta have deeeeeeeep pockets to go to a shop and say, id like a turbo on my car please.

Unless you're a good mechanic and can do the work yourself, the kit is going to cost upwards of £1500, then it'll need fitting which is no easy job and a lot of hours, so that probs about £800.

Then you'll need either a piggyback ECU for about £350 or about 3 years of re-mapping for the ECU to compute the new turbo, then you'll need to sort the fuelling.

Then you'll need uprated suspension, brakes, tyres, boost guage etc to be able to handle the increased power effectivley - these items will be close to £800 for something decent. So, all in all you're looking at close to £3500 to acheiev maybe 170bhp on a semi-safe boost level. This means you'll need a LSD to get the power down for quick starts thats another £500 or so. So, to get a yaris to hit 60 in the 6's it's about £4000. Personally id rather sell the yaris for £4000, then using the £4000 id saved id take that £8000 and buy a mint Celica GT4 Gen6 and that would still be quicker than the Yaris. So, if speeds your game... don't waste your money on turboing a Yaris unless you have deep pockets. Unless that is of course you're hell bent on having the fastest, most unique Yaris in Britain.
