Ok, as my " poll " implies, im thinking of getting a Cynos, but for this to happen I will need to sell my Paseo and then pay the remainder of the difference. But yeah, I just want to get an idea of what the Paseo is worth so I can get an idea of what ill be going through to get the car! Also if anyone is potentially interested, just let me now...

Anyway, the details of the car; Its a pristine white Si with 64,000mi on the clock. Everything about the car is perfect, clutch has lots of life in it, cambelt was recently changed, has an MOT till February I think, Tax till January, tyres are brand new (including the full size spare in the boot) and all electronics etc work. The only " worn " thing is the driver's carpet, apart from that it is mechanically sound. As for " modifications ", all the things carried out were service items, so changed the oil for fully synth Shell Helix Ultra 5w40, changed the oil filter for a TRD item (toyota performance version, which flows higher and filters better), new radiator cap, new plug wires, new spark plugs. I then replaced some other interior / exterior details, like fitted clear repeaters, brighter bulbs, and inside I added a cup holder and cubby hole from the 1st generation Paseo, which I feel was greatly needed!

The only fault with the car is the back bumper...basically when I was changing the oil, I kinda pushed the car off the ramps and it backed into a big metal box in the garage, which resulted in some flaking paint, very minimal but still worth a mention! For pictures of the car, check out my garage! So yeah, please let me know how much is worth! Thanks

It seems everyone is getting the bug to sell, been looking at a few other motors myself this week and have to say very tempting to let mine go even though I'll lose the 5 grand I've spent in the last two years :(

Only time will tell I suppose ;)

im selling to get a cynos though, not a different car....

The only reason im thinking about selling is to buy that paseo TURBO!!! lol

richie - you could turbo yours for less than the price of Matts 'seo...

Where? no one round here wants to do it, wireing is too difficult!

If I buy matts, And can sell mine for around 2.5k - 3k id only really be paying around £1500 for the conversion :)

Actually if Richie could sell his and buy the turbo one which has a number of extras, it would be quite a good buy

The problem is wiring. The wiring on Matt's was a pain in the wotsit - he said it took JB Motorsport 2 weeks to get it done as there was no resemblence between the Starlet wiring and the Paseo Gen 2 loom and everything had to be traced through and each wire on the ECU wired individually - there are over 40 wires leading to the ECU.

Plus timescale - to convert a car you have to find a donor car or half cut, which can take 4-6 weeks to arrive if shipped in from overseas, then the swap has to happen which could be subject to a few weeks delay. Matt's car is on the market now.

Id like to know what paseos actually sell for. My 1st one sold 18 months ago for 2500, my last one sold for 1300, i think people over value the car because its so rare people dont generally look for one unless they are an absolute bargain. Ive seen a mint one with 14,000 genuine miles from new and they let it go for 2500 in the end. please let us know how much interest you get - apart from the people who try and get u to sell it elsewhere.
