Fuel Filler Cap Position

Today during a gas refilling I was told that my fuel tank cap is at a very high position, close to the fuel filler door. Indeed, I can see about 4cm of stainless steel-like metal pipe below the cap.

I do not fill gas myself and thus I do not see the fuel cap frequently, but I think it was not at such high position.

The entire tank is supposed to be very well fixed and could not move. The strange position might be another effect of the huge allowed tolerances in the assembly of Corollas. Otherwise, it could be a serious safety issue (if the tank somehow moves).

Could you please report on the cap position in your Corolla?
