Battery Warning Light

I dont know if this is important but as i was driving yesterday my Battery/electrical warning light came on breifly, only for about 5 seconds or so, then went off again!

This happenned immediately after going through a large puddle, could this be the cause of the light coming on?

It hasn't come on since.

Any advice would be appreciated

Thanks.

like you said the water could have come in somewhere, If it hasn't come on again I doubt it it's anything serious, just keep your eye on it.

As said above, just keep your eye on it and if it comes on again take it somewhere local (they'll be able to read the codes for a fiver) or if still under warranty to Mr T!

We had a bit of a discussion at work about water and electrics & one of our engineers said that when water gets in it can cause sensors to do funny things for a little while...like it's been said keep an eye on it and if it happens again/again and for a longer time then get it checked.
