This is what I have read in an online site about cars:

News After skyrocketing over threefold in calendar 2000, Celica year-to-year sales dropped 31.2 percent in the first nine months of 2001. A faltering economy is an undoubted factor, but we also suspect some of the younger buyers Celica targets are defecting to more practical fun cars such as Toyota's own new Matrix compact sportwagon.

Celica is expected to be redesigned for 2004, a year earlier than Toyota's usual five-year timetable calls for.

Is it true that a new celica (not facelift) will come in 2004? :( :( :(

in the USA, it should be late 2004 as 2005 model...

and thats exactly 5 years...

What about europe? Is it going to be late 2004 also?

About £30,000. My deposit is already down. It's a hell of a lot cheaper than an Aston Martin and looks similar. I just hope a kit comes out for the front pretty quick.

Same price as the Nissan 350Z. Same market.

Not that much dearer than a Celica.

The supra is beautiful I will have one (i wish). The comnpressors out at the moment are not supported by toyota and i would not want to mess with the engine. Will there be one supported by toyota?

Perhaps in uk is affordable. But in greece it is not

imported as it is toooooo expensive, over 65000 Euro

which is almost 46000 pounds. Cars with engines over

2 litres are badly taxed here. Consider that a celica TS

that in uk if I am right costs 21000 pounds , in greece costs

25000 pounds    .

And the wages here are the half of yours. :crybaby:

I thought the 350Z was £20,000?

I dont call £20k or £30k affordable!!! :(

Yeh right, I'll take 2 at that price... :P

Then you're out of the arguement. Because the question was whether the Celica is still affordable and that's in the same price range.

A few years ago I wouldn't have said it was affordable either. Now I am in the position to say it is.

That's life.

Currently an Aston Martin Vantage isn't affordable. In a few more years I will retract that staement and say it is.

How about a consortium to buy and time share an A S Vantage.

Saving my pennies for the Supra........
