i am driving a Kreg toyota carina executive 2.0, very reliable car but this morning i noticed a problem with the central locking.  i could not lock it but i could unlock it.  when im inside the car i could lock the four doors but have to do it manually for the driver side before getting off.  i went to a garage this afternoon and they said i am going to spend at least 60 just to know what the problem is.  60??!!!  could somebody please enlighten me with this problem.  cheers guys

Most central locking faults are due to the door actuators or key lock linkages, if you have a haynes or you know how to take the door cards off.....

take off the door panels and check all the wiring/linkages to make sure that nothings come loose, any plugs that can be unplugged unplug them and plug back into the hole they came out of, this usualy resets the actuators to "all unlocked" you will hear them click on and off.

there may be two master actuators or one driver side (mines just driver side unlock via the key) so best to check both sides.

Is it a button press on the alarm fob to unlock/lock the car or just by the key?

hope this helps
