Help Needed Buying An Mr2

Hi i am new to this forum living in UK

I am in the process of buying an Mr2 2.0 GTI 1991 J plate with 136k miles on the clock, The exterior condition of it is fantastic no perculiar marks, scrapes or dents...Engines running smooth no knocks, leaks or funny noises...

however the mileage puts me off the car 136k...how long do you think it will last until it dies out on me? p.s im getting the car at £1400 Private...Any usefull info will be appreciated as i am going to make a final decision wheter to buy the car or not on Saturday...

That's alot of money for the mileage in my opinion. I bought a 1992 J MR2 Turbo for £2450 with 60k on the clock.

There's plenty on autotrader.co.uk for that price with much lower milages.

There's no reason why the 3S-GE engine in the MR2 shouldn't do at least 200k. It just depends on whether it has been looked after or not.
