Fitted New Performance Air Filter

Hi,

I have fitted a new performance air filter. It is a direct replacement type for the stock one. Have noticed a small increase in power and response. The power/response when shifting gears is better. The sound of the car is more coubik, well the way I like it. I will try to get a clip in the near future.

The air filter is made from stainless steel and is dry type and therefore safe for the MAF sensor. It's a new brand...Hurricane Racing. Here is the link to the website:

Here are a couple of pics:

I fitted my K&N one about a week ago and noticed the same difference ......... no power increase but when you put you foot down there is more power straight away if you get what I mean?

There is a slight difference in the exhaust noise/note, but this is only when im above 3k rev's

It gives a girly kinda roar :P !

Well worth the £35 in my opinion  !

Yeah you should uprate the intake pipe into the air box if you havent already as thats a hugely restrictive part of the original airbox! looks funky just shame you cant see it! .... So should put a perspex window in air box :P

Yeh oops sorry! couldnt be bothered to link to the post :P I reckon that would be worth your while to do as otherwise you have removed the filter element being a limiting factor but as the intake pipe into where the filter gets its air from is limited you wont notice as much difference. If you uprate the intake pipe (with better location and even cold air feeds if the new intake pipe doesnt get to the best source of airflow) then the noise aswell as performance should increase.
