Rear Wiper Blades?

Hi all,

My 2003 T3's rear wiper blade is going, where can I get a replacement? I am reluctant to go to the dealer as it probably involved of booking in the car for a few hours whereas the job itself might just be 10 mins...

Could anyone tell me where can I get a replacement please? Thx

No - they should sell you a spare rubber which you can easily fit to the existing harness. Just take note of which end of the harness crimps into the rubber and fit it the same way. Bought one recently for our old Rolla from Mr T for about £4 though that was probably a shorter blade than the one on yours.

Alternatively, you can buy a whole new blade - get a decent one e.g. Bosch which can easily be found on eBay for a similar price to the rubber from Toyota. If you go this route again check that you fit it with the crimped end in the same position - if you fit it the wrong way round there's a danger the rubber will slide out and the harness will scratch the screen.

tesco extra sell blades for £3.99 a pair.. measure the length in inches first lol

by the way, the corolla has 3 different length wipers fitted. measure them and see for yourself..

My next question would be how to take the wiper out? It's kind of embedded in a plastic shield?? Not as straight forward as the front ones...

Pull the wiper arm out toward you, it looks like a clip but slowly pull out, it's held in like a "C" looking clip and soon comes off.

I was lucky with my blade, found it in the basement section of my local wilkinsons at 49P so i soon had that and put it on my car

But then I struggle to replace just the rubber because I found that the metal stripes are hinged very tightly by the small clamps on the blade....

Use some fine point pliers and slowly pull them back, pull out the old blade, replace with new, and slowly close them back, simple
