Broken Door Lock

My 1986 Toyota Camry was broken into, nothing was stolen but they messed up the front door lock probably by opening it with a screwdriver. Is there any way I could replace the door lock myself? I was thinking I could purchase a new door lock at an auto wreakers. I'm a student, so money is a concern. Any ideas would be welcome.

yes you can replace the door lockl, but it is going to be a pain..i used to have an 87 toyota pickup and i replaced the doors. what you are going to have to do is buy the lock...then take out the old hardwear from the old door, it doesnt sound that bad but toyota's have no room...unless u have really small hands good luck!
