Toyota Corolla Diesels

I am changing my 2nd Corolla Diesel for a brand new VW Bora. After a relationship lasting 8 Years and 300,000 miles it is time for a change.

I am sure I will return to the Corolla fold but I wanted to tell you that I will probably always remember this particular model as the best designed & built car I have ever had or probably will ever have.

I have been doing approx 1,000 miles per week for the last several months. The car is always relaxing, comfortable, easy to drive and the shape of the car is attractive.

It is reliable, spacious inside and is the ideal size for UK roads & UK parking spaces. I have driven the current model of the Corolla. Compared with the previous model, it looks boxy and feels cramped at the wheel. Rear vision is poor due to the box-like shape.

Thank you for an amazing 8 years of driving. Not one breakdown. At one stage during 2000, I used my Corolla to rescue a Range Rover that had broken down in winter flooding by dragging it out of the water using reverse gear up a slope. No problem for me but embarrasing for the owner of an ‘off-road ‘ vehicle.
