Wanting To Upgrade My Car!

Recommended Posts

As you can tell from my name i currently have a yaris t-sport but i am very close to buying a MR-2 turbo. i have got a cheapish insurance quote for it and the car is costing me £2345. I will have about £1500 to spend on it and i was wanting to know what would be the best mod to get with that money, that will make the car more powerful. Have you guys got any ideas?

Cheers

Andy

my advice £2345 + £1500 = £3845

£3845 buys a much much better mr2 turbo

id go with the more money spent on car in first place option, getting a bad mr2 sorted out is very costly indeed .... trust me i know ... been thru it  just make sure shes nice and not like mine was ... maybe get it AA checked before buying also? gl an hope you get a nice 2.... never had so much fun in a car ever an that includes parked lol

She is a very nice car. H Reg but in mint condition. Just had new brakes all round, refurb turbo, new tyres, and like i said she is in pristine condition. 73000 on the clock but runs like a dream. I personally think i am grabbing myself a bargain.

It has a full service history, been stamped every 10000 miles i think lol.

Can't wait to buy her!!!

Agree with that.

I can understand the logic if he's gonna spend the £1500 modding it over a period of time. It won't seem as bad as having to fork out loads of money straight away and maybe ending up in debt.

However, £2400 is quite a lot for a rev 1 car. My advice would be to possibly hang on and go for a rev 2, they have a considerably better spec and you should be able to pick up a decent one for only a little more money.

could go one of several ways yarislad ... two notable ones id say being.... she'll either try twice as hard to keep you happy(competitive attention from girls who like ur mr2) or she'll make you some ear rings and give them to you unexpectedly .... your cahonies, for checking out the aforementioned competitive attention

ive certainly found out mr2's are wonderful cars ... despite even the probs i had with mine and recieving a set of ear rings from my other half lol

hope you get sorted :yes::thumbsup:

£2.5k For a "mint" tubby is a bargain.

Not the ideal time to buy a tubby (begining of winter) and all

But I suppose if you learn how to drive it in the winter months, then come summer it will be a doddle. ;)

First mods would be:

Full service including cam belt change.

Then Full stainless exhaust system + uprated actuator + fcd + boost controller.

Happy Driving. :)

o i think it will be there for at least 6 months. i am going on a track day or 2 aswell for a little bit of experience taming the beast of toyota!!

i added up today how much i will have to spend. its nearly a whopping £3000 with help from a loan lol. this will make the drive even better i hope.

I just can't wait. i am like a 5yr old child waiting for christmas lmao
