New Paeso Owner Requires Ice Help

Hi Guys and Gals,

I am pleased to say that I have now joined you happy bunch and would like some help / tips before starting on my ICE project.

It looks to me that the Battery and alternator on my silver Paseo, imported from Germany, will be too small for any major market amplifiers ?? Have any of you changed these out, and if so what fits as a good replacement.

more help no doubt required when I get to grips with other projects.........

Right ICE,

I run a set-up of Sub, amp, dvd, 6x9 and front Speakers aswell as numerous neons off the stock Battery.

To run a heavy ICE install you will need to either get a yellow top Battery (or similar) and or upgrage to run a 2nd deep cycle Battery for the ice charged off the alternator. Dont forget the power cap.

I am planning to change my battery and run a 2 battery system soon so will let you know more info when i get around to it!

you can always get a capacitor if you're that worried. i don't know what types of plans you have though.

....i would know mate all i know is the wattage of the parts not current, all i know about currents and stuff is that its all 12v!!! lol. Lot of use i am!!

No prob, I've had a look at your set-up now so I can at least see what to expect from the stock Battery system.

Full body kit will be one of the next items to look at, yours is stunning BTW........

Oh btw i always have to run my engine when everything is on or i will prob run my Battery flat quite quickly!

Welcome to the site Matix, if you're not going over the top with ICE you might just get away with a higher capacity Battery like I have in mine

I also have all my ice running off my standard car Battery, although i have 2 1farad power caps, i think they are needed tho as ive got a 3000watt monoblock amp running 2 12" subs.

But also as matt does, whenever im in the car with things on, i leave the car running.
