I have a 2.0L import with the 3s-FE engine. My Callipers have a stamped TOYOTA on them, but not in a way that would look good highlighted

if they are on a gt it may well of been converted to gt4 style brakes , gt4 calipers are twice the size of gt calipers.gen 6 that is

Definately sounds like the Gen 6 GT4 brakes to me, you should be able to tell the difference, the gt4 ones are 4 pot with celica in raised letters as you say.

What size wheels have you? Coz you may not be able to fit them over the gt4 brakes they are a bit on the large size, 315mm Discs with 4 pot callipers take up a fair bit of room. Standard GT4 wheels are 16*7.5J at ET35 offset and there's not a lot of room between the wheel and the calliper.

You'll also need to get new disc's and pads to fit, wouldn't like to trust 2 hand discs and pads especially from a scrapped car.

Yep you really need to watch that larger disk size. You can always let me have the oversized calipers and brake disks cause I have 18" alloys (plenty room there  ) and am about to renew all my disks anyway.

Mint! lol

i have 16" wheels. so what ur saying is id have to change my discs and pads to get the calipers to fit?

but does it matter if my celica is an import?

thanks for ur replies once again

fella the difference between a gen 6 gt4's calipers and the ordinary gt are immence , surely you can look at whats on your car and see if they are different or the same size as the ones with "celica" on them .i doubt they will even fit onto a gt without some modifications somewhere.you will need the original gen 6 gt4 wheels of 16" also , yours wont fit if the calipers are from a gen 6 gt4.you will also need the discs and pads , discs £100 each , pads £50 or so a set.also stamp on these brakes hard enough and your rear end will sommersault you.:lol::lol::lol:

but if they are already on a GT then get photos of them fited, front and rear sides of the calipers to see how they are fitted,

take the full set up off of the GT and find out what size the discs are and buy new ones, they will probably have mounting brackets made up for the brackest to fit, get pics and sizes off it and post them up :D
