A Little Advice...

After reading previous posts, it seems most people feels 16" rims on a Yaris T Sport that is lowered looks best, with less effort and cost.

I'm looking at these wheels...

http://www.topgear.co.uk/acatalog/4x_16_In...l_195_45_16.php

Which are 16 Inch Wheels With 195/45/16 Tyres.

However, I dont know where or how much i should be looking at to get what i need to lower the car. so...

Question 1) What make of lowering springs etc. (not sure what i need) would

people suggest?

Question 2) How much should i lower the car? (on 16" rims and in an area of

MANY speed bumps)

Question 3) How much should i be looking to pay for the springs etc? (not

including fitting)

Cheers for your input guys (and gals!)

Patrick.

tein springs are supposedly the best that lower 35mm on the front and 38mm on the rear to make it even that will be no problems with 16's. Cost about £160 from envy

40mm on gmax or pi springs, ive had both and there good, but te do 30mm ones always on eBay cheap and look as low sometimes lower than the PI or GMAX springs,

oh and by the way them wheels protrude alot and to be honest arent that nice and are ripe for curbing,

just my opinion,

Hey!

Another southerner!yey!

I think someone on here has had those wheels on their yaris but cant remember who!

I had the tte springs but havnt seemed to lower the car much, but they seemed to have improved the handling, sightly stiffer ride!I will be changing them shortly for either some tein springs or coilovers!

Get some pics up of your car!!

CB

They're 15s tho and that's wat i'm already running on!

Think the fox evo 3s are where i'm heading, its just the springs i nedd to sort, and my finances!!!

effectively then, what are the cheapest/best value for money lowering springs?

and is that all i need?

Cheapest isnt going to be the best and in the long run your better of spending the money as its always going to effect the way your car feels!

Like i said i have the tte spring and it appears not to be much lower but the handling is slightly stiffer etc!!

I have no experience of any other springs other than stock!

From what i hear though the tein springs are very good and i would suggest you save up a bit extra and get something you will be pleased with!

You will not require any other parts as i imagine locking nuts and fitting kit comes with the wheels,

I would expect to pay around £100 - £120 to have the spings fitted!

Thanks for the info. hopefully fitting should b less as i have a few contacts who, if i pester them enough, will do it at a reduced rate for me.

Now i'm gonna try and get some pics of my car up, however i do that!!!

Thanks again!

try envy for the wheels they can normally beat any price on owt, also worth asking them about springs too, ps goldmembers save 10% with them so that 10 quid in evry hundred so you could save around 60 quid! for 35 memberships so 25 quid earned!
