PICS FURTHER DOWN

Hi

Right then its done stage one is complete

The car is back on the road now looking good (pics to follow shortly)

We took it to Manchester and it was fantastic

Now the window motor has failed so that's one minor thing to sort out

Now looking forward to stage two - new motor but the one in the car is soo sweet it pulls nicely even after 100K miles

New headunit has gone in too

Dials will go in next week too

The poor D4D must feel left out as everyone wants to take the GTI out all the time :D

  • 1 month later...

Hi everyone

I know its been a long time but I've been busy

Anyway I have some pics of the cars now but don't know how to post them

They are not very good but it was getting dark and the car was not clean lol

I also took some of the audio system in the D4D

So if anyone could help that would be great

Cheers

This might help get you started.

With the pics on your pc, upload them to a site such as photobucket you will have to sign up first, fairly painless to be honest.

Then come straight back here with your newly uploaded image URL's

Good luck and let us know if you have any problems.

James

Yeah i got something to say:

Ditch the lights, they are cheap/tacky and look !Removed!.

Wash it before you take pictures!

Get rid of the square number plate on the front.

Not keen on the mesh grille either.

Wheels are cool, white on white always works!

The back box needs to be raised and a cut out made in the bumper.

Shall i keep going! :P :D

This is more like it! :D

Hahahaha yeah go for it lol

All views welcome :P

Had 5 mins so thought I would take a quick snap - when I get more time I will have some better pics

The main aim of the project was the get the thing on the road now it is the little things can be put right like the zorst, stickers, dials etc etc

To be honest it doesn't look the way I want just yet but that will have to wait till the summer

Cheers

lose the rear lights, tv screens, rear seats, carpet, sound profing, ect, and would be so much better. its not the right car if you want to pimp it, will never look any good. and wont be very fast either if you load it up with Speakers. sorry man just my thoughts
