1992 Paseo, Some Assembly Required

So i got a 1992 Toyota Paseo with the 1.5 DOHC (5EFE) engine that only spits 100hp stock. I'm wondering, by adding the DOHC Secret Weapon Intake (located here, how much will it increase my HP? Also, is there an aftermarket supercharger available (if so, where?) that you would recommend for me? Much appreciated, thanks.

I would suggest looking at building a 4E-FTE - 5E-FE hybrid engine (1500cc turbo), or swapping over a 4E-FTE Starlet Turbo engine (135bhp stock)

Good idea, but im wondering if I do build a hybrid engine or swap for the 4EFTE engine, along with performance parts, could I get at least 300hp out of it? The reason I ask is that I had a Nissan 240SX (totalled into a light pole) before this and got this Paseo for free, so i dont know if it's really worth it to put the effort into building this Paseo up unless i can get at least 300 hp out of her since im used to alot more power and speed.

that will cost you a LOT to get there...different turbo, fully uprated internals etc...

you can get 300+ bhp out of it, but to get a 1.3 litre engine is much harder than getting 300bhp from a 2.4 litre engine.

200-230bhp per litre is much harder and expensive to achieve than 125bhp per litre.

just go for the swap. if you want to waste your time and money on the stock motor, don't pay the £100 or whatever they're charging for the intake. you can find them on eBay for about $20 here.

thanks you guys. honestly, i think im just gonna redo the body work, paint, spruce up the engine with some new replacement parts, and upgrade the sound system then just sell it for something with a bigger engine so the work i'm gonna do to it is actually gonna be worth it.....maybe a mid-gen eclispse with a 2jz engine swap :!Removed!:
