Could it be because im using fully synthetic oil?

Could it be because I need to replace my spark plugs?

Could it be because I need to replace my spark plug wires? Neither have been done for some time.

Any little tricks or products to help start her on the cold mornings?

Thanks

In this order I would recommend:

Spark plugs

Districutor cap and rotor arm

plug leads

Try one at a time and see if it improves

Distributer should be fine, had a new one fitted at the start of the year.

My Battery is on the way out. Maybe you could look into getting a new more powerful one? thats what I'll be doing when mine totally dies.

I'd get your Battery and alternator checked first mate

Check Battery first. They degrade over time and cold starts put extra load on the Battery. You can get heavy duty ones.

Alternatively the alternator may not be charging the Battery properly.

Does it start OK if you use a different battery (eg jump starting it) ?

The Battery is fine, just had a new one fitted just last month.

Just cos its new mate doesn't mean its not faulty, could be a knackered cell ;) I would get it checked anyway as plenty of places will do free Battery and alternator checks

yeah, my mate got a Battery for his mr2 turbo and that had a knackered cell. put too much load on the alternator and burnt it out.

what are your symtpoms mate?

Does it fail to turn over? - if so get the Battery and alternator checked out.

OR

Does it turn over but not fire up - if so for the ignition system - plugs - leads - rotor arm - distributor cap - timing - when you changed the distributor did you put back in the exact same position - if not you might have thrown the timing out and hence your starting problem.
