Warranty?

I've just installed a new car kit in my 2003 Avensis, this involved removing the SatNav display unit to install the small display that comes with the kit (Sony Ericsson HCB 700 - see piccie). Would this invalidate any warranty? Would it cause any probelms if I were to complain to Toyota about a problem with the computer (ie Average MPG keeps resetting itself at random).

any ideas?

well most manufactueres are not a fan of someone messing with a car of theirs.. Tough call i personally would just pop in and ask them

How removed is removed?

If you were to say only remove the facia but not tamper with anything electrical and then the trip computer/sat-nav then you'd have a reasonable case. If you've been tampering with the electrics then you've essentially affected the guaranteed condition and therefore your warranty would be invalid
