to me today and one time last week..today it is raining..just had a tuneup a fewmonths ago and even while dirving now it seems to slip on me.

When I put my foot on the break at a red light the car seems to rev as well and wants toleap forward..engine revs..can anyone help?

Sounds like the tickover is wrong or mabe the throttle position sensor maybe?

Idle speed is under closed loop control of the ECU.

In your case, something is telling the ECU that the engine isn't/shouldn't be idling. And it could be just about anything. How high do the revs go? 2000 rpm is normal for fast idle when cold, any higher and it could be the throttle position sensor, or a big leak on the inlet somewhere.
