Now that, I like a lot. I bet it does its job as a spoiler perfectly well and probably weighs a tenth of the weight of the original, or less, and probably creates less than zero drag.

If I was changing from standard I think I'd have that. What is it? or was it custom made?

Cheers :) I like it as it's a tad different to the usual setups :) Just keeps the rear edges sharp yet still attractive (in my opinion anyway)

It's the lower piece of the 2 piece Tom's rear:

Hmmm... good to see something different Kiwi.... I think that looks much better than no spoiler (I think peeps know my thoughts on that... *drowned rat*) ... but still not to my taste... :P Must say tho.. your car is looking nice... red takes a fair bit of looking after I hazard.. but you done good ;)

I still am liking rev5.... unless I find sommat else... but then again will be a while before I can afford one *sigh :P lol

I'm loving Kiwi's car...

hmmm...

i always say a spoiler as 'decoration'

and a wing is something that provides functional downforce

and theres not alot of cars that come standard with 'wings' believe it or not but the Escort Cosworth 'whaletail' was one of the first road legal cars with a negative force wing ;)

Give me an autopista center section anyday :D

All though i do like the rev 3 spoiler too.

Jaxx, spoilers do a really important job of spoiling the air flow so that the car doesn't lift like an aeroplane. I'm not convinced that many road cars can reach speeds where they benefit from downforce wings though.

the first significant stage of negative air force (downforce), if the air is stationary i.e. no wind, occurs at 63mph ;)

Intersting facts springing up here !

I like the spoiler like the rev1 spoiler but higher ! Autiospa or something ?

but the one on this thread look like part of a small bi-plane ! Not really my thing

Cheers guy's :)

I have since ditched the Snorkel.....I should really take some fresh pics. I have 12 set's of 17" & 18" rims arriving here in NZ at the end of the month so MAYBE I might take a set if they fit. Will see.....I really like the OEM wheel size as it makes for great handling but it would certianlly complete the look.
