hi ive got a problem and ive looked at all ur posts on puting a new head unit in a toyota BUT my car when i take the pod off the radio seems to be a part of the pod and i have a seperate tape player further down the dash i was wandering what i need to do to ba able to put my own head unit in this pod would i have to modify it or can you buy new pods that take normal h/u's :ffs: this is my intereor

Ive got the same mate, although its a cd player instead of a tape deck.

You can either; get a pre-facelifted corolla pod and fit a headunit to it, or

install a head unit down below where the toyota tape deck is and just use the pod for mpg, clock, etc (you cant control the head unit from up above)
