Intend to leave country for 7 days..was told to disconnect Battery terminal to prevent flat Battery..will the engine computer settings be affected?if affected,what must I do...pls advise...thks

If it's only 7 days I really wouldn't worry about disconnecting the Battery she'll be fine.

If you disconnect the Battery the ecu would reset along with thelectrics and you would more than likely have to turn the alarm off with the key....

If you were going away for a coupleof months I would disconnectthe Battery but definately not for a couple of days...

Think of all the people who park up in the long term car parks at the airports and go on hols for 2-3 weeks always fine when they get back....

Longest I've not powered a car up with battery connected was 3 months and she started fine when I got back to her....

I really wouldn't worry, just park her up safe, locker her and arm the alarm (if you have one) and lock the garage (if you have one)....
